Santorini
Our first trip together - Santorini! Before I adopted Meyer I had dreamed of having my own dog for so long. But, I had always thought that it would never work because I love traveling so much and how could that work with a dog. When I was in Greece earlier this year (in the spring) I just loved how there were always so many animals around. Sleepy cats that would nap on the terrace or come and visit to share our breakfast and goats, donkeys and little lambs in the fields. I realized how happy it made me to be surrounded by animals and nature, and how having my own dog there as well wouldn’t really be such a problem. I knew that I wanted to adopt a dog that needed a home instead of buying a puppy, so I started to search online. When I found Meyer I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him! I was at first apprehensive that he was already 9 years old but once I met him I wasn’t so worried, in fact he still acts like a puppy. I had already planned this trip to Santorini before I got him, so I had to do some planning and make some adjustments to make sure everything would be okay for him. We had so much fun there together: walking on the beach in Perissa, hiking along the cliffs, winding through the little streets in Oia (and chasing after cats).
